FEMALE, 32 YO, SINGLE… So what?

That would sum up my information sheet.
---
The gender is inborn, the age is counting, civil status is indefinite and the state of mind, if asked before being pre-maturely assessed, is a choice.

Trial and Error
To wake up with a choice for my completeness and happiness as a person was my favourite part of the day. Because along my journey before this, I also have my fair share of trial and errors, I also have made right and imperfect decisions, hit and missed big time, been depressed and scared witless at some part of the days (aggravated by hormonal rage and sleep deprivation) when plans didn’t happen on time, lived peer-pressured for choices that didn’t work perfectly. Until I decided I will cut the invisible string that controlled my happiness. Until I decided to stop making excuses for my decisions. Until I decided to change my attitude.

I know the curious and shortsighted me will still try plans that will not work, decisions that will backfire or spend fortune for pleasures, stake on relationships that are unsure but I will bounce back again because that what makes life magical.

Single-thon
It is an absolute fact, that while you live, you will make relationships, as normal as you breathe: long and short, romantic and platonic, hereditary and built.

In the romantic relationships department, the journey is still in progress and the train will keep moving. In between stops, I know I was being polished by the decisions I have made and the people I was with. But one important lesson learned, I should stop taking the full blame when relationships come to an end. As one or I decide to step out of the cage door, I am still me, complete as he is.

To all my friends and loved ones who have found their the-ones to grow old within their lives, I am happy for them. And I still have that vision of me being with someone. But while my relationship/civil status remains SINGLE, I will live a life and my state of mind will still be a choice and not societal-pressured. Because I know I will still be complete.
---
And that would be ME, loving ME.

  2. Everyone has it's own sense and subject of being "complete" being single doesn't mean "incomplete", totally agree with this.

If someone is meant for you, it will be done in God's time.

and still enjoying life without anyone's anything(500 days of Summer) right? :D

  5. If you are happy being single then I guess that's okay. It's better than being married to a wife beater. :)

  6. I like your attitude girl. Living your life to the fullest and having fun is a mark of a confident person. Just enjoy life and its trial and, as you have stated the train is still on the go and sooner or later, your special someone will wink at you.

  7. Just plain curious.. how's your love life coming along? Still single or now taken? :) Saw kasi that the post was written 3 years ago. :)

And as what you wrote.. you go girl! That's simply girl power.. I once was like that in the past. But I learned to love and take care of myself first.. the love of my life came when I was already a whole person. :)

  24. I think it is now a norm for women of substance - to marry at a latter age (not saying those who marry earlier are not women of substance)... lampas sa kalendaryo - is as old as the 80's, women these days want to experience life to the fullest and take on other roles - that of motherhood once they feel like ready for such role so - Ces't la vie!

  25. I believe women nowadays are really taking their time before getting married. We want to enjoy our singlehood first and maybe more sure of what the married life would bring to us. Rushing is not welcome anymore.

  26. The choices we make in our lives affect our current situation and we should not regret for the past well-spent or not. Our age is just a number to remind us we are old and mature to accept that things happen with or without our permission. We have no other choice but to face the future and make the most of the present.

  27. I admire your firm attitude of being you as single. The choice is yours. The happiness is what you make it. Enjoy it as you may until the time comes to change your status.
